SERVICES:

Preventive dentistry can save you time, expense, and headache. Your checkups allow us to find and treat dental problems, like decay and disease, in the earliest stages. If left untreated, these conditions can only worsen and require extensive therapy in the future. Help us help you by scheduling checkups at least twice each year with Dr. Monira Uddin.
Your exam will include cavity detection with the use of digital X-rays and intraoral photographs which allows you to review the images on a chairside monitor. This will help you see and understand your oral condition and the therapy we recommend.
Preventative care isn't limited to checkups. For example, fluoride treatments and sealants protect young teeth from cavities. Patients who grind or clench their teeth at night, a condition known as bruxism, may benefit from nightguards. Be sure to order custom-fit mouth guards for the athletes in your family.

Dr. Monira Uddin offers the latest restorative procedures to keep your smile healthy and gorgeous. She believes that a truly strong smile must be built upon a reliable foundation, and so she will assess for periodontal disease (gum disease) and provide multiple periodontal therapy options when indicated.
If one or more of your teeth have been affected by decay, disease, or damage, restorations such as inlays, onlays, or composite resin fillings will maintain the beauty of and restore integrity to your smile. Lifelike prosthetics, such as bridgework, dentures, partials, and dental implants, allow patients to reclaim a full, functional smile without compromising their image. When a patient suffers with multiple oral health issues, from missing teeth to damaged dentition to bite issues, Dr. Uddin may recommend a custom solution – full mouth reconstruction, which could include the aforementioned solutions, as well as oral surgery.
Restorative dentistry encompasses most general dental procedures, so if you have questions about our services, please call our Lilburn dental office today. We will be happy to answer your questions, address your concerns, schedule your consultation, and checkup appointment.

You’d rather have a root canal! Root canal therapy is nothing like it used to be. Many patients even take a nap during root canal therapy.
Painful Pulp: Your teeth contain several layers: the outer protective enamel, a secondary layer of sensitive dentin, and an inner pulp that contains components commonly referred to as the “nerve” of the tooth. Each pulp chamber branches off, forming canals that lead toward the tooth root tip. These infamous root canals provide a means for the tooth to absorb what it needs from the blood and get rid of toxins or other unnecessary materials via the blood stream. A deep cavity, traumatic injury, or tooth fracture can make the canal susceptible to bacterial infection, which can kill the pulp, stimulate increased blood flow, and create pressure within the tooth. This can cause severe tooth pain and may initiate bone degeneration, tooth loss, and even more acute pain. If you see a dentist in the earliest stages of this condition, the tooth may be saved with a root canal. Otherwise, it should be extracted and replaced with a prosthetic.
Easy Does It: Will root canal therapy hurt? Not with today's advanced analgesics and technology. In fact, the entire process can be so comfortable that many patients doze off. Oftentimes, root canal therapy can be completed in a single appointment. We simply clean out the diseased canal, fill it canal with a biologically-inert substance, seal it from further infection, and you're on your way. While some patients experience post-procedural soreness or slight tissue inflammation, these are controllable with over-the-counter analgesics. Follow-up care involves thorough home hygiene and regular dental visits for cleanings and check ups.
